Riitta Helena Clarini (Eric Kanerva). Loving and devoted mother to Kennedy Morin (Andrew)
and Sage Morin (Joshua). Dearly missed by her canine buddies Charley and Kobey. Stepmother to Samantha Morin (Matt), with grandkids Jackson and Lincoln. Missed by their father Sean Morin, along with the Morin family. Sadly missed by her cousin Kirsi Hoeg (Brian) and their children Raili Hoeg (Sean) and Tarah Hoeg (Justin) from Maple, Ontario. Dear friend to Ann, Olive, and Leslie Baston, as well as Kirsti and Ted Kotilehti. Missed by family in Australia and Finland, as well as family in Sudbury, Pertti and Carolyn Tupakka, Marjatta Tupakka, and Leo and Aila Maki.
Riitta was a lover of nature, feeding the birds and chipmunks at her home daily. She did lots of traveling in her life, with her favourite trip being to Australia when she was 21 years old. She always enjoyed spending time at the Hoeg family camp on Nepewassi Lake and has fond childhood memories spent at her parent’s camp on Crooked Lake and Panache Lake. She enjoyed reading, walking her dogs, spending time with family, and watching her favourite TV shows. Riitta had a long career as a retail manager, and eventually moved on to work in the pharmacy at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Long Lake Road, which she very much enjoyed. Riitta was a proud Reiki Master, taught by her teacher and friend Bonnie Mulvihill.
Funeral Visitation at the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent Street, Sudbury, Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 4-8pm. Words of Remembrance will be shared at 6PM Thursday. Cremation with entombment at Civic Cemetery.
