In Loving Memory of Concetta (nee Bruzzese) Garreffa 93 years Wednesday, May 26th, 2010 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital. Beloved wife of Tommaso Garreffa predeceased 2008. Loving mother of Memma Rocca (Francesco predeceased), Rosalba Romeo (Francesco) and Joe (Mary). Cherished Nonna of Claudio Rocca (Jackie), Ida Krueger (Chris), Shelley Rocca, Shawn Rocca, Bruno Romeo (Chantelle), Tom Garreffa (Charlene), Patrizio Romeo (Sylvie Renaud and her daughter Zoe), Michael Garreffa (Jane), John Garreffa (Trina), Joey Garreffa and great grandchildren Jordan Rocca, Deanna, Jacklyn and Robert Krueger, Elizabeth, Alexandra, Natalia and Joel Garreffa. Dear daughter of Domenico and Giudilta Bruzzese predeceased. Dear sister of Leonardo and Michele Bruzzese, Maria Serafino, Carmela Garreffa, Beltina Lacopo, Franco and Giuseppe Bruzzese all predeceased. Special aunt to Rosetta Galluzzo and nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Born in Portigliola, Reggio Calabria Italy, she married Tommaso Garreffa in 1943. A devout Roman Catholic, Concetta attended St. Anthony’s Church and she was a life member of the Parish CWL. She was a member of the Calabria Social Club. She was a great cook who was happiest preparing and hosting family dinners. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. An avid gardener her green thumb produced beautiful flowers and bountiful vegetables. Concetta will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humour, her great story telling and devotion to her loving family. Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church 19 Mary St., Sudbury Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 at 10 a.m. Entombment in the Park Lawn Mausoleum. Prayers at 3 p.m. Monday. Donations to the Mass for Shut Ins would be appreciated. (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9 p.m. Monday)
