COOKE, JOHN (Jack) - February 25, 1929 - April 27, 2010. Jack's tireless energy, strong determination, endless list of to-do's and strength of Mom carried him through to his final morning. Jack had a successful career with 25 years with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and another 22 years with Snowden Industrial Rubber Inc. We are proud of Jack's commitment and dedication to committees and leaderships such as Boy Scouts, Jaycees, Sudbury City Recreation, Santa and Canada Day Parades, Trout Lake Association, Oshawa Yacht Club, Canadian Yachting Association, Canadian Safe Boating Council,Volunteer O.P.P., Police Services, Rebound, Crime Stoppers as well as over 60 years involment with Navy League of Canada. Jack was always searching and striving to find ways to give the youth of today purpose, pride, self worth, respect and confidence. Jack was a proud loving father to his children Terry, Jeff, Laurie and John and devoted Papa to Cameron, Justin, Cory, Colton, Nicole and Jack Jr. Survived by brother Robert George Greer Cooke. Jack donated his body to the University of Toronto, Anatomy Division and his eyes to the Trillium Foundation. A celebration of Jack's life will be held on June 19, 2010 at 11:00am at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Cobourg, Ontario. Charitable donations can be made to Navy League of Canada, Rebound Child and Youth Services Inc. and/or Crime Stoppers.
