COWEN, Sharon K. - In loving memory of Sharon K. (nee Muir) Cowen, 64 years of Hanmer, who passed away Tuesday, August 4th, 2009 at her residence with her loving family at her side. Sharon came to Sudbury as a child. She had been a monitor for special needs children for the school board. Sharon was a great friend and advocate for kids. She was an artistic person who created beautiful and unique crafts. She enjoyed gardening and her green thumb produced beautiful flowers. Sharon was devoted to her loving family especially her precious grandchildren. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Beloved wife of Wayne Cowen. Loving mother of Troy (Janice), Tammy-Lynn predeceased 1975, Jodie-Lee (Marc Lafreniere). Cherished grandmother of Emma, Brett, Austin and Blake. Dear daughter of Arthur and Merle (Doxsee) Muir both predeceased. Loving sister of Bonnie Dupuis (Ron), Nancy Holyman (Tom) and the late Garrett, Judy-Ann and William all predeceased. Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St., Saturday, August 8th, 2009 at 11:30 AM. Interment in the family plot at the Parklawn Cemetery. Donations to the Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Center Dr. Sanders Dental Program would be appreciated. Friends may call 2-5; 7-9 PM.
