1947-2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Dennis Croteau announces his peaceful passing on Monday, November 9, 2020 at the age of 73 years. Dennis will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years, Suzanne and his children Martin (Sherry) and Maxine. He will also be fondly remembered by his brother Leon (Lynn) and his three grandchildren, Victoria, Adam and Beatrice. Dennis was known for his sense of humour and he loved to tease and play practical jokes on his friends and loved ones. He would think that a message like this about him was super cheesy. Dennis lived his life in Chelmsford, where he raised his family in the house where he was raised himself. After a short time as a high-school teacher, he became a successful entrepreneur who, along with his brother Leon and Gerald Lavallée, operated Esquire Fashions and other retail stores across the Sudbury region. Dennis loved to bowl and was a junior national bowling champion. He played in the men’s and mixed leagues at Valley Bowl in Chelmsford for most of his life.  As per Dennis’ wishes, the family will be celebrating his life privately, and there will be no public service. Those who so desire, may make memorial donations directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada at https://www.heartandstroke.ca. Arrangements entrusted with Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd.
