DANIELS, Peter “John” - In Loving Memory of Peter “John” Daniels, 87 years, who passed away at Extendicare York in Sudbury on Thursday, September 10th, 2009. John was born in 1922 in Meijel, the Netherlands to Catharina and Willem Daniels. John, his wife Jane and daughter Mary came to Canada in 1952. John worked at INCO (Creighton Mine) for 29 years and was devoted to his other passions; his garden and seasonal greenhouse business. He cherished this hobby through his retirement. John will be sadly missed by his wife Jane of Sudbury, daughter Catharina “Kate” (husband Scott) and grandson Scott of Espanola, daughter Adriane “Diane” (late husband Chris Sonnemans, predeceased 2009) of the Netherlands. Predeceased by her loving daughter Mary in 2006. Dear brother of Anneke Sonnemans-Daniels (husband Theo) and Harry Daniels (wife Mia), all of the Netherlands. Our sincere thanks go out to all the 3rd floor staff at Extendicare York for their wonderful and caring concern and support over the last months. John was especially fond of his “twin” caregivers Linda and Louise as well as Annie and Louise S. Special thanks also to his other friends, roommate and table- mates and other caregivers who developed a special relationship with him over the last years. “Tot Ziens”! Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium. A private family committal service will take place at the Civic Cemetery in Sudbury.
