It is with great sadness that the family announces his death in Sudbury on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at the age of 94 years. Rocco was born in Carpino, Foggia, Italy. Son of the late Antonio and Nancy De Cata. Beloved husband of Lucrezia (née DelMastro). Loving father of Tony (Sherri), Nancy Masse (David), Pat (Lucie), Josee Larocque (Frank), Mary Bouchard (Darrren), Michael (Ariel) and Lucy De Cata. Survived by his brothers, Guiseppe (Jo) and Michael. Predeceased by his brother Mateo and by his sister Maria. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his grandson Jeffrey Gauthier.
Rocco could be seen around Sudbury while taking his many walks. He enjoyed gardening, whiskey, a fine wine, and good pasta. In his words, “Saluti!”
