DEBASSIGE, James Darren - In loving memory of James Darren Debassige. April 2, 1958 – June 5, 2010. James Darren Debassige, 52 years, moved on to the spirit world at his residence, early Saturday morning, June 5, 2010 after many years battling cancer. Darren was the son of the late James David Debassige and Pauline (Paul) Debassige. He was self-employed in the trucking/construction business and proprietor of Paul's Corner Store for the past 20 years. He had many interests including fishing, auctions, hockey, golf and watching Judge Judy and Deadliest Catch. His greatest love in his life was spending time with his one and only grandson “Gooser“ (Damion) Lovingly remembered by his wife Jessie, son Richard “Bear“, (friend Taylor), daughter Dawn (friend Julian) and grandson Damion “Gooser“. Dear brother of Blake (wife Shirley Cheechoo), Janet (husband Albert “Abby“), Kevin (friend Candice) and Cynthia (friend Allen). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter Wanda, father James David, brother Richard, sister Corrine and nephew Derek Restoule. Friends may call at Saswaanhs Spiritual Centre, 44 Tikmeg Road, M'Chigeeng after 2.00 p.m. on Sunday. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, M'Chigeeng on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 11.00 a.m. with Fr. Jim Kelly as Celebrant. Interment in M'Chigeeng Cemetery.
