In Loving Memory of Dorothy Delabbio 98 years who passed away on Monday, May 31st, 2010 at the Extendicare York, Sudbury. Beloved wife of Sandy Delabbio (predeceased 1972). Loving mother of Fredric (Nancy), Beverly (Wayne predeceased) Maki. Cherished grandmother of 7 grandchildren; Pam, Wendy, Fredric, Shaun, Anthony, Stephanie,Wayne, 17 great grandchildren; Melissa, Josh, Christopher (Jackie), Brad, Andrew, Isabelle, Christopher, Marina, Matthew, Sarah, Tia, Dawson, Mitchel, Andy, Daren, Carter and Oliver and dear great great grandmother of Taylor, Kindra, Riley and Aiden. Dorothy is survived by one sister Betty Running (Les) of Sault Ste. Marie. She is predeceased by brothers Gordon, Raywood, and Ted, sisters Pearl, Margaret and Mysie and her daughter Sandra (Bill Phipps). She will be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews. The last of the original settlers of Falconbridge having spent the first two winters in a tent on the mine site. She was active in her church group, Bridge club and enjoyed gardening. Her greatest love was time spent at the camp on Lake Wanapitei. The family wishes to extend their many thanks to the 4th floor staff at Extendicare York. At Dorothy’s request, there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at the Falconbridge Legion on Saturday, June 26th, 2010 from 2-6pm. Donations to the Falconbridge Legion or Salvation Army would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
