The family announces with great sorrow his sudden, unexpected death in Sudbury on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the age of 80 years.
Beloved husband of Colette (née Rousselle) Dimatteo of Val Caron. Son of the late Nicola and of the late Rosalie (née Chrétien) Dimatteo. Loving father of Tammy Beaulne (Denis) of Hanmer, Shannon Barrriault (Roger) of Hanmer and Ralph “Jr” Dimatteo of Val Caron. He is survived by his siblings Louise, Aime and Ginette. Cherished grandfather of Noah, Ilianna, Caleb, Chloé, Nic and Nora. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Ralph enjoyed his timmies coffee while watching hockey and baseball and would cheer for the Leafs, the Blue Jays and especially the Greater Sudbury Cubs. He will forever be remembered for being the best taxi driver and cafeteria to his beloved children and grandchildren whom he adored. He was an avid fisherman and hunter but was happiest when surrounded by his family. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation.
