In loving memory of Sean Michael Dowling, 48 years who passed away peacefully on Monday, February 22, 2021 at his residence with loving family at his side. Beloved husband of Jennie Gauthier and sadly missed by his fur baby Zeke. Cherished son of Angie and Michael Dowling. Special son-in-law of Rollande Boyer and Gerry Gauthier (Réjeanne). Loving brother of Stephanie Speck (Dwight) and Shannon Dowling (Guy) and dear brother-in-law of Neil Gauthier (Isabelle). Adored uncle to Brianna, Sammy, and Alexie. Dear grandson of Doris and Walter Sturby predeceased. Special nephew to Ronald Sturby. Today Sean took his last step down the fairway of life at the age of 48. While his scorecard may seem incomplete, the moments he shared will forever be in our hearts. Reliable, loyal, witty and caring were just a few of his prominent traits.  Sean was never one to ask for the spotlight, yet he always made sure to treat everyone like a superstar.
Moving forward will be difficult, as the 16 ft aluminum boat will have one less line, the hunt camp an empty bed and the foursome in search of a dependable anchor.  A wife will be without her soul mate, a fur buddy without his dad, parents without a son, sisters without a brother and the world with one less kindhearted human being. Sean will not be far.  He will always be here watching over us from his tree stand up high, the waters down below and the 19th hole patio with a cold one in his hand. Memorial Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 2pm. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice or the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated. Friends may gather after 11am Thursday. Due to the COVID-19 directives, 50 people or less in our visitation room and 80 people or less in our chapel. Facemasks are mandatory with social distancing.
