It is with the heaviest of hearts and profound sadness that the family announces the untimely passing of their beloved Cécile on November 15, 2020 at her residence in Sudbury, Ontario at the age of 67 years.
Cécile, or ‘Sis’ as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, was born on March 19, 1953 to parents Lucien (Miriam) and Jeanne Brosseau (nee Gauthier) both predeceased.
Cécile is survived by the love of her life Richard whom she happily wed on February 15, 1969. Together they lived a life of inseparable love for each other, inspiring to others, and that only grew stronger with time. Their love produced 2 daughters, Gisele Dawson (Wayne) and Kim Dubreuil (Dan), who will forever hold their mom in the most precious place in their hearts.
“Mémère Sis” will be deeply missed by her adoring grandchildren Jordan (Crystal), Justin (Sarah), Kaitlyn ( James) and Cassandra (Josef) as well as her loving great-grandchildren Landen, Aaliyah, Emmett, Mia (predeceased) and soon to be born, Jaylin.
Cécile will be remembered and cherished by her dear sisters and brothers Lionel (Pauline), Suzanne (Ron), Betty (Bill), Dave, Carole (predeceased) (Bob), Joanne (Claude), Rolly (Paula), Kim, and Chris (Brenda).
Cécile loved deeply with every ounce of her being. Her love felt as warm as sunshine by everyone fortunate enough to be in her company. Her door and her arms were always open to friends and family. Her laugh was infectious and she could always make you smile with stories of days gone by. 'Sis' was absolutely adored by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and in-laws. Her memory, and the love she gave to them, will never be forgotten.
Further to Cécile’s wishes there will be no visitation but rather a celebration of life to be announced at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada, the COPD Foundation of Canada, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
