In loving memory of Paula Dumont (Lavoie) who passed peacefully on the morning of February 12th, 2020 at home in the company of her compassionate husband Mark, and three loving children Brandon, Marissa, and Michelle. In the company of daughter-in-law Nikki and son-in-law Trent. Adoring gramma of Dawson, Andi McKinnon and mother-in-law of Patti McKinnon. Daughter of Leon Lavoie and Rita Lavoie (born Chevalier; predeceased). Beloved sister of Elaine McKee (predeceased; Denis McKee), Josette Gaudet (Roland Gaudet), and Yvonne MacNeil (Raymond MacNeil). Cherished daughter-in-law of Marlene Dumont (born O’Brien) and Ronald Dumont (predeceased). Loving sister-in-law of Joanne Therrien (Larry; predeceased), Darlene Dumont, Ronald II Dumont (Sheila), and Michael Dumont (Natalie). Caring aunt of Cameron, Joyce, Kevin, Kirk, Cory, Veronique, Odette, Fiona, Alexis, Jason, Graham, Shannon, Quinn, Liam, Ronald III, Gannon, and Graden. Wonderful friend to many. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all members of Paula’s care team at the Northeast Cancer Centre, Health Sciences North, NE-LHIN, Bayshore Home Health, Canadian Shield Health Care Services, and Maison McCulloch hospice shared care. Her energy was contagious and she was the life of the party, always willing to partake and give it her all. These past ten months we have learned that we never know what the next day will bring and we need to enjoy every moment as they come. Undoubtedly Paula dedicated her life to her family. She was a devoted wife and mother, her children are the absolute testament to her hard work and they are her greatest legacy. She sacrificed her personal life for them and this was supposed to be her time, but sometimes life isn’t fair. Paula was loved by many, will be cherished and remembered by all who loved her.
