EVERITT, Albert Brock, 86 years old, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2022 and is now reunited with the love of his life Doreen (Ariss).

He is survived by his children Kim MacKinnon (Braden), Tracy Therrien (Alain), his grandchildren Brock Boyd, (Alanna), Sloan Prevost (Rob), Kennedy MacKinnon, Jake Therrien (Kary), Taylor Therrien, and his great-grandchildren Clara Boyd, and Baby Therrien (due in September).

He will be dearly missed by his sister-in-law Janet Brown (David) and brother-in-law Bud Ariss (Kathy) and his many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his sister Marion and in-laws Stan and Pat Ariss, Bill Ariss, Janyce and Bernard Dixon and David Morrish.

Bert grew up in Parry Sound where he began his lifelong career with A&P. He met and married Doreen in 1957. His career would take them to several different cities in Northern Ontario, where they met and made lifelong friends with the Barks, Spadafores, Bolds, MacInnes, Moores, Brooks, and last, but definitely not least, the Braids. So many cherished memories were created.  In retirement they settled in their dream house on Long Lake and had many adventures with the Moxam Landing gang. To quote my mother, they really did “live their dream”.

We would like to thank the Lodge 2 nurses and staff at Pioneer Manor, with a special mention to Linda and Antenella, for taking such good care of our father. We felt the love and affection that was showered upon him.

My father’s wish was to have a “Good Old Fashioned Irish Wake”. We will be honouring that request with a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the Colonial Inn in Coniston. The evening will begin with a Masonic service at 7:00 p.m., followed by an evening of live music, stories, food, drink, and laughter. Please come and have a drink on Bert. All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lewy Body Dementia Research Fund or the Northeast Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated.
