(1940-2023)

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Vittorio “Vic” Fabbro on May 24, 2023, at the age of 83. Beloved husband of over 60 years to Anita Fabbro (nee Vecchies). Cherished father and father-in-law of Tina Clark (Craig) and Liana Fabbro Wisniewski (Shayne). Much loved Nonno to Mariah, Victoria and Christopher Clark, and Blake and Jack Wisniewski.

Dear brother of Cesira Gallo [predeceased] (Giovanni, predeceased) and Rosina Salvador (Pietro, predeceased). Special brother-in-law of Rita Marcon, Edna Hopkins, William Vecchies, Rena “Dolly” Baggio (Gino), and Stanley Vecchies (Joan), all predeceased. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He will be sadly missed by close family members and friends that he often played cards with and shared special occasions with.

Vic came to Canada from Arzene, Pordenone, Italy when he was 17. He was a hard-working man and the proud owner of LTA Masonry Ltd. developing incredible, long-lasting relationships with his employees, contractors, and competitors and later with his tenants in the industrial units that he built.

Vic enjoyed spending time at the Long Lake camp, especially on the weekends when all the family could be there together. He loved to travel and was so happy and proud to take his grandchildren to meet his sister and family in Italy. He was a life member of the Caruso Club and member of the Fogolar Furlan Club, an excellent soccer player, dancer, skier, and winemaker, as well as an avid gardener who spent countless hours tending to his garden and working in the yards at camp and home making them both pristine.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Singh and his team at the Cancer Centre, and to the staff at HSN, Bayshore and Hospice for their exceptional support and care.
