Fievoli, Gino Joseph

June 15, 2009 73

FIEVOLI, Gino Joseph - Gino was very proud to have had the good fortune of being born in Creighton Mine on April 9, 1936. He touched the lives of everyone he met and always brought joy and laughter wherever he went. He was a wonderful husband to Elaine (Logan) for over 45 years. His son, Christopher, was the pride and joy of his life. Chris's wife Patricia and their two girls, Rebecca and April, brought joy and fun and love that enhanced all our lives. Gino had a great enthusiasm for aviation. Flying an ultra-light aircraft to Nova Scotia in 2001 was one of his most exciting adventures. He was a 45 year member of COPA (Canadian Owners and Pilots Association). From 1982 to 1985, Gino entered the political arena as Deputy Mayor of Walden and regional councillor. He was also a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Regan Council 3909. His brother Knights were a great support to Gino and his family during his lengthy illness. Their prayers, gifts, visits, and everyday help were always appreciated. Gino was also a proud member of St. Michael's Church in Creighton and St. Pius X Church in Lively. Father Terry Fournier blessed all of us with his prayers, visits, and friendship. It is always difficult to say thank you to all the special people in our lives, but some just have to be mentioned. Dr. Cano and Sue Benoit - thank you for the excellent care. We always knew we were in good hands with you. Drs. Dubé and Tenhunen - you brought us peace and wonderful care. The staff at the chemo center - after so long with you, you felt like family. Thank you for every smile and tear and hug. The Staff at Maison Vale Inco Hospice - thank God for people like you. You do a very tough job with love and care. There is no possible way to tell you what comfort you brought to our family. Thanks for the view, Leo. And to the entire staff, the biggest, most sincere thanks possible. Our many friends and relatives who gave moral support and yummy food and gifts - Gino always enjoyed your entertaining company. Our neighbours on First Avenue in Lively - you proved that First Avenue is the very best place to live. We just could not have managed without you. Frs. Jim Sharpe, Jim Hutton, and Terry Fournier - we always knew we could count on you. Gino will be sadly missed by his wife Elaine, son Christopher, daughter-in-law Patricia, granddaughters Rebecca and April, sister Inez (Morassutti) of Owen Sound, niece Beverly Saward of London, Ontario, nephews Allan Morassutti of Woodstock Brian Morassutti of Owen Sound, and many aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his father Ettore in 1991, mother Emilia (Grottoli) in 1990 and brother Aldo in 1988. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison Vale Inco Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
