À la douce mémoire d’Armand Fortin (1943-2020). Armand est décédé en paix entouré de sa famille le 26 mai 2020 à l’âge de 76 ans. Époux bien-aimé de Diane Fortin (née Brosseau) de Chelmsford. Fils de feu Anna (Simon) et Alpha Fortin. Père de Carole Fortin Gauthier (Paul) et Ron Fortin (Sylvie). Il manquera surtout à ses cinq petits-enfants Jacob Gauthier (Stéphanie), Yanik Gauthier (Julie), Karine Gauthier (Anna), Jacques Fortin (Valérie) et Marc Fortin (Janessa) et ses deux arrière-petits-enfants Luca et Maëlle Gauthier, avec qui il aimait passer beaucoup de son temps. Il est survécu par ses sœurs Gilberte Benoit, Rita Robert, Lorraine Shantz et Jeanne d’Arc Lafond. Prédécédé par ses frères Léo, Ludger, Fernand, Omer, René, Gérard et sa sœur Gracieuse. Armand a travaillé 39 années pour la ville de Rayside-Balfour jusqu’à sa retraite en 2008. Nos plus beaux souvenirs seront les nombreux séjours passés au chalet sur la Rivière des Français à Noëlville, nos nombreux «fish fry» et comme participants et spectateurs de baseball du Tournoi de famille. Il adorait la chasse, la pêche, jouer aux cartes et nous inspirait toujours avec ses pas de danse. Tu vas nous manquer mon beau Pépère. In Loving Memory of Armand Fortin (1943-2020). Armand passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Beloved husband of Diane Fortin (née Brosseau) of Chelmsford. Son of the late Anna (Simon) and Alpha Fortin. Loving father of Carole Fortin Gauthier (Paul) and Ron Fortin (Sylvie). He will be greatly missed and remembered by his five grandchildren Jacob Gauthier (Stéphanie), Yanik Gauthier (Julie), Karine Gauthier (Anna), Jacques Fortin (Valérie) and Marc Fortin (Janessa) and his two great grand children Luca and Maëlle Gauthier; with whom he loved to spend most of his time. He is survived by his sisters Gilberte Benoit, Rita Robert, Lorraine Shantz and Jeanne d’Arc Lafond. Predeceased by his brothers, Léo, Ludger, Fernand, Omer, René, Gérard and by his sister Gracieuse. Armand worked for the Township of Rayside-Balfour for 39 years until he retired in 2008. Our fondest memories were spent at the cottage on the French River in Noëlville, having many fish fries and participating and watching many Family Baseball Tournaments. He loved to hunt, fish, play cards and had many great moves on the dance floor. We will miss you Pépère. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd.
