It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother and uncle, Eric Fournier, unexpectedly from SUDEP, on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the age of 41. Beloved son of Laurie Fournier (née Cormier), Marc Fournier and Darlene King (his 2nd mom). Loving brother of Alex Fournier (Chantal) and stepbrother Wesley Ogston. Cherished uncle of Harper and Bay. Dear grandson of Cécile Fournier and predeceased by Marcel Fournier, Frank and Millie Cormier. Dear nephew of Donna Harrison (Hugh), Janice Brunet (John), David Cormier (Kathryn), Carole Lamoureux (Gerard), Colette Fournier (Mark Monaghan), Dave Fournier (Bernice), Denis Fournier (Carole) and Daniel Fournier (friend Lise Levesque). Sadly missed by many cousins and many friends especially Ben, Dallas and Luc.  Eric treated life like his poker games, he was ALL IN. If you were lucky enough to be in a room with Eric you got his full attention no matter your age or gender. He was a social butterfly and would brighten your day with his contagious smile, laugh, and sense of humour. Eric had a kind heart and always tried to help the under privileged either by donating his time or money. Eric loved hanging out at Dad’s cottage, fishing, playing ring toss and card games at night. A special time for Eric was Sunday mornings with his Mom having coffee and breakfast. Eric loved spending time with his brother Alex: at work, at a concert, at a hockey game, just kicking back on a Sunday afternoon. Anything that brought them together was time that Eric treasured. Eric had a sweet tooth and loved all desserts especially Mémère Fournier’s blueberry cheesecake. He loved watching his Habs with his family and friends, playing poker, golfing, and having a beer with friends listening to classic rock. He loved to travel. He was an ironworker with Local 786 and took great pride in his work.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Eric at Club Age D’Or (64 Notre Dame St. E., Azilda, ON) on Saturday October 22, 2022, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
