Gardner, Carmen

GARDNER, Carmen (née Gravel) - Passed away in Sudbury, on September 5, 2009 at the age of 76 years. Daughter of the late Charles Edward and the late Juliette (née Brosseau) Gravel. Wife of the late Arthur Robert Gardner. Sadly missed by her children Michael (Lise), Terry both of Sudbury, Brian (Carol) of Toronto and Norman (Fred) of Ottawa. Loving grandmother of Christian (Angela), Jonathan, Melanie and Geneviève. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Rita (late Stephen) Oreskovich of Copper Cliff and Jack (Sylvia) Gravel of North Bay. Pre- deceased by her brothers Robert (Nicole of Montreal) and Léo Paul. Carmen was avid curler and loved the outdoors, spending her time at the cottage and fishing. Special thank you to the staff of Laurentian Hospital, 4th floor, south tower for the excellent care she received. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 R.R. # 15, Chelmsford Monday from 2- 5 and7-9:30. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00a.m. in the Co-operative funeral home, Chapel, Chelmsford. Donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation (by Cheque Only) would be greatly appreciated by the family.
