GODIN, Donat - (1921-2009) The family announces with sorrow his loss to cancer, at home in River Valley, Saturday June 27 2009, in his 89th year. Son of the late Joseph and of the late Arthémise (née Letourneau) Godin. Husband of the late Colombe Godin (née Proulx). Loving father of Georgette Pilkington (late George) of Barrie, Roger (Christine) of Garson, Marcel of B.C., Guy, Laurette Blais (Richard) and Gisèle Godin all of Sturgeon Falls, Suzanne Haslett of Mississauga, Denise Lachance (Mike Boisvert) of Chelmsford, Nicole Brazeau of Sudbury and Gérald (Gail) of Eggmondville. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 16 grandchildren and by his 4 great grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Florent (Joe) Godin (Lise) of Kapuskasing. Predeceased by his brother Nelson. Donat's family wishes to acknowledge the kind and compassionate care provided over the many years by his caregiver Sylvie Chouinard. Heartfelt thanks also to Dr. Béhamdouni and to the staff at the West Nipissing General Hospital. The family will receive friends at the THEORET BOURGEOIS FUNERAL HOME, Sturgeon Falls, Tuesday June 30, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday July 1, 2009 at 11 a.m. in Ste Rose de Lima Church, River Valley.
