Anna Elizabeth “Anneliese” Göhringer (nee Rösch)
28 February 1929 – 16 April 2021.
With great sorrow we announce the passing of our mother, Anneliese (our father’s beloved Schatzi).
Anneliese was one of 6 children including siblings Artur (predeceased), Martha, Helmut (predeceased), Walter (predeceased) and Elfriede (predeceased) who were all born in the farming village of Seelbach in the Black Forest of Germany. Following the war, she followed her soulmate and true love Rudolf, to Chapleau, Ontario in Canada in 1954, where they married.
Pioneering spirit and adventure were the hallmarks of their new life in a strange land, and the friendships forged in these early years lasted a lifetime.
Eventually, they settled in a close-knit community in Sudbury, Ontario which became the place we all love to call home.
Although her children subsequently departed Sudbury to settle elsewhere, her home remained the heart of the family and the place of many joyous reunions with her children and grandchildren throughout the years after her beloved husband passed away and to the end of her days.
She is survived by her children Michael, Rudy (spouse Roseann), Angelika (spouse Nevio) and Carl (spouse Julia) and grandchildren Andrea, Daniel, Kendel, Matisse, Eathan, Keowan and Aidan, who will always remember her fierce strength and resilience with love and admiration.
We love you Mom and Oma. The memories you leave behind will bring a smile long after the loss ceases to bring a tear, and the void will be filled by your lessons of family, love, honesty, trust, and respect. Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury.
