GRIST, Willard - Mr. Willard Grist at the Cornwall Community Hospital - McConnell Site on Friday August 21, 2009 at the age of 78 years - Retired employee of Ontario Hydro with 40 years' service. Willard was active in his community having been a past member and Paul Harris Fellow with the Cornwall Rotary Club, as well as participating in the local Square Dance and Bridge Clubs. Beloved husband of Lowella “Lou” (Brousseau) Grist of Cornwall. Dear father of Caroline Grist, Kenneth Grist (Cathy), James Grist, all of Sudbury; David Cormier (Bonnie) of Timmins; and step- father of Brenda Vallas, Cornwall and Dennis Mousseau (Marie) of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Sadly missed by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Loved son of the late Wesley and Barbara (Moore) Grist. Dear brother of George Grist (Pauline), James Grist (Levina), both of Quebec; and Barbara Hill of Timmins. Predeceased by two brothers Bill (Andrée) and Roy Grist (Yvonne). Resting at the WILSON FUNERAL HOME 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall where visitation will be held on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday 10 - 10:45 AM. The Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated in the chapel of the Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday August 26, 2009 at 11:00 AM, followed by cremation. Rite of Committal will take place at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery, Cornwall. If so desired contributions in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
