It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Denise Marie Anna Hachey (nee deGrasse) on December 4th, 2024 at St. Gabriel’s Villa Chelmsford at 92 years of age. She was surrounded by family.
Denise was the loving wife of George (predeceased) and is survived by her children Agnes (Rejean), Joan (Paul), John (Heather), Robert (Michelle) as well as her nine grandchildren Diane (Colin), Richard (Margot), Andrew (Nathalie), Kelly, Joey, Michael, Janet (Anton), Jamie (Karina), Kenneth (Kelly) and one great grandchild Anna. Dear daughter of Donat and Agnes deGrasse (both predeceased). Will be sadly missed and remembered by many sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Born in Trois Rivieres, Quebec and raised in Bathurst, New Brunswick, she left her teaching career and moved to Sudbury in 1957. She was a member of the Holy Trinity and Christ the King parishes and a long-time member of the CWL.
She will be sadly missed. Donations in her memory can be made to the Northern Cancer Foundation.
