HALONEN, David Alfred - In loving memory of David Alfred Halonen who passed away Sunday, July 5th, 2009 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph Health Center. Born in 1913, in Copper Cliff to Emmi and David both predeceased. Predeceased by wife Frances, siblings Signe, Kalervo, Helen and Miriam. David retired with 44 years of service as a craneman at INCO. He lived every day to the fullest, enjoying the outdoors and fishing for lake trout at his camp on Lake Penage. He loved the latest technologies, music and a special joy for bowling. David had a great attachment to his many canine pals “Cleos“. He was proud of his Finnish heritage and his siblings. David will be sadly missed by Debbie and Garry Gorgichuk and their children Marnie, Peter and David. At David's request there will be no visitation or service. Donations to the SPCA would be appreciated. David's ashes will be taken to Lake Penage, where his heart remains. Arrangements entrusted to the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME.
