It is with great sadness that the family announces her peaceful passing with them by her side, at Oak Lodge Sudbury, on Saturday, October 10th, 2020 at the age of 72 years. Daughter to late Étienne and late Aldéa Sylvestre. Beloved wife of 52 beautiful years to Kevin Heneberry. Loving mother to Jocelyne Heneberry (Michael Sipos), David Heneberry (Kim Giles) and Andrew Heneberry (Julie Malette). Cherished grandmother to Megan Heneberry and Colin Heneberry. Dear sister to Marie-Luce (Noël), Françoise (Robert), Thérèse (late Jim), Josette (late Tom), Jean (Estelle), Raymond, and George-Étienne. Pre-deceased by sisters Monique (late Roger), Sr. Madeleine, Cécile, and brothers Régis (Clothilde), Germain, and Pierre (Florence).
Hélène believed in and practiced goodness, was never selfish, and always placed others ahead of herself. A very proud Mother and Grandmother and good friend to Mary, Barb and Nancy. Hélène bravely fought the cruel disease that took her away from us too soon.
A special thanks to the staff at Oak Lodge in Sudbury where Hélène was treated with understanding, respect and kindness by all. We’d also like to acknowledge the support we received from the Alzheimer’s Society of Sudbury, Behavioral Supports Ontario, the Memory Clinic, and the Seniors Mental Health Program.
There will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place at the Cooperative Crematorium, Chelmsford. Interment at the Civic Memorial Mausoleum. In memory of Hélène, donations can be made by cheque or online to the Sudbury Infant Food Bank. https://www.pccifb.ca/
