It is with great regret we announce that Kenneth John Marshall Holloway, 70 years, finally lost his valiant battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022.
Surrounded by loved ones, he will be greatly missed by his partner, Monique Richard; his two sons Taylor and Jesse Holloway; his beloved daughters-in-law Laura Holloway (nee Wiebe), and Natacha Dupuis; and his cherished grand-children Helix Holloway and Marshall Mayotte. He is survived by his two siblings, Sandy McCrindle, and Don Holloway. He also leaves behind fond memories for all his nieces and nephews, as well as many great friends that he had made throughout the years.
Ken lived a life only many can dream of experiencing, and he lived it on his own terms. From his early days as a talented musician in a band that toured North America, settling down to become one of the most successful Canadian Managers in Manulife history. When he was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in 2010, he continued to fight for another 12 years despite being given a prognosis of a year and a half left to live. It was his passion for family, adventures on his motorcycle, and music that sustained him through those years.
The Family would like to thank all the wonderful staff and doctors at Health Sciences North for all their continued efforts throughout the years. Special mention goes to Dr. Andrew Pearce, and Dr. John Noble for their dedication, Dr. Abbas Abdulhussein for his fantastic care over the past 40+ years, and a special thanks to Cory Kramer of Bayshore Home Health for going above and beyond in Ken’s final days on this earth.
