Doug Howard passed away on Tuesday, September 1st, 2020, at Health Sciences North in his 69th year. Doug was born in Saint John, New Brunswick to the late Jeannine Howard Donley and moved to Sudbury as a young boy. Beloved husband, best friend, and true soul mate to Linda (nee Carver) for 47 years. Loving father of Sean and Heather. Proud Poppa to Deanna Hajek and his little grand puppy Lola. Dear brother of Diane (Len) Tomini. Doug will be truly missed by his mother-in-law Mary Carver, sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Doug worked at INCO for 39 years as a trainer. Doug loved fishing, hunting, and a good movie. He had many hobbies that he was passionate about and loved to share. Doug was always ready to just jump in the truck for a road trip on a moments notice. He and Linda travelled all over the United States and to many other countries. To all that knew him as a tough guy, he truly was soft at heart and his most prized possession was his family. Family, friends, and others whose lives Doug touched, are invited to 150 Gibson Road, Lively, Monday September 7th, 2020, from 1-4 pm to reminisce, grieve, support each other and of course just chat. Memorial donations in memory of Doug can be made directly to a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted with Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd.
