It is with bittersweet hearts that the family of William (Bill) John Charles Kilby (86) announce his passing on July 18, 2021 at home with his family at his side. Sad as he has left us, comforted that he is united again with the love of his life Marlene (Marnie) Kilby (nee Beaton), predeceased 2016.  He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Lynne (Jim) and his son Doug. Grandpa Bill will be greatly missed by his cherished grand-children William, Grace and Georgia and the girl’s mother Jennifer. Bill’s eyes would light up every time his grandchildren were around.

Predeceased by nephew Larry and niece Janet Budzak. Bill also leaves his brother Brian (Judy) and sister Cathy Coyne (Bob) Sisters-in-law Rena Beaton (Toronto) and Patricia Waskalik (Georgetown). In addition to his family, Bill leaves behind a group of very close and loving friends, especially best pals Bob Lafreneiere and Brian Bagley.
Our father was a true renaissance man. Extremely well-read. Passionate music lover, especially Waylon, Willie and the boys. He shared his love of dancing and was always in demand get up on the dance floor at any social gathering. Bill and Marnie hosted the New Sudbury gang many a time and laughs were always on the menu.  A great golfer and barbeque master, Dad taught us well at many things. He always had a curious mind and a loving heart.
Bill retired from Falconbridge after 30 years and always put family first during his career. Over the years, Bill and Marnie enjoyed travelling and many social gatherings with friends old and new. Bill enjoyed family time at camp on the French River and had, in recent years, discovered the joys of wintering in Costa Rica with his kids and grandkids.
Respecting his wishes, he has been cremated and will be laid to rest next to Marnie at Parklawn Cemetery. A celebration of Bill’s life will take place at a later date when we can all be together.
The family would like to thank Dr. Sbrocchi and her team, the amazing Staff at HSN,  St. Joseph’s Continuing Care, the amazing PSWs and Staff at Bayshore Home Health especially Jenn, Carol, Sandra and Robin, as well as Dr. Walton and  the compassionate team from Maison McCulloch Hospice. All of whom helped Dad and us get through these last few months. We are forever grateful.

Love you always Dad
