Heaven blessed this Angel with wings to fly on July 10, 2020, Frances Beverly Marion Korpi (nee Lahti), aka “Heikki”, 72 years. Daughter of Samuel and Helmi Lahti (both predeceased). Beloved wife and best friend of 53 years to husband Richard, mother to son Lauri (Sherri) and daughter Angela-Mae. Grandmother to Jake, Emma, Jamie-Ada and Sophia. Dear sister to Elsie Bradley (Clayton)(both predeceased), Miriam Kotila (Raimo), Samuel Lahti Jr. (Linda), Margaret Bite (Andy), Karl Lahti (Isobel), Don Lahti, and Ron Lahti (Nicole)(both predeceased). She was a loving aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend who will be greatly missed. She was a prankster at heart, and always maintained a sense of humour throughout the trials in her life. Her beautiful charm and heart of gold leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, compassion and strength, everything she did in her life was done with love.
Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury. (Friends may call 2-4; 6-8pm Wednesday and after 10am Thursday). Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, Thursday, July 16th, 2020 at 11am. Due to COVID-19 Pandemic directives, 50 people or fewer are permitted in the visitation room, and 80 or fewer in the chapel.
