Mamma was also much loved and will be missed by her many great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Vieno (her name means “peace“), was the epitome of God's love; she loved her Lord and showered that love on her husband and huge family. She loved visiting, travelling and entertaining her many friends but her favourite times were the big family gatherings in her own home where she baked and cooked delicious meals. Vieno loved to garden vegetables; pick berries and had a passion for her flower garden. She knit for her children and recited stories and songs to her grandchildren from her rocking chair. Her beautiful, gentle spirit, kindness and loving hospitality endeared all to her. She was a pillar of strength that knit her family together. Her beautiful smile, radiant spirit and love of family, music and life will be missed so much! Funeral service at Abundant Life Church, 360 Perreault St. in Sudbury 11:30 a.m. Friday August 7, 2009.
