LADEROUTE, Albert John Emlaw - Surrounded by family, on August 20th, 2009, at SRH - Laurentian Site at the age of 75. Predeceased by his loving wife, Edna (Andress). Loving father to Micheal and Susan (Houston), Tim (Sudbury) and Kelly (Toronto). Predeceased by parents Ephrem and Rose Laderoute. Much loved brother to Eleanor Foster (Keith) Sudbury, Victor Laderoute (Rita) Espanola, Fred Laderoute (Irene) Webbwood, Ivy Rantanen (Tommy) Sudbury, Joseph and Doreen Laderoute (Sudbury). Dear grandfather to Jonathan (Michelle - girlfriend) Sudbury, Micheal (Toronto), Justin (Sudbury) and Alexandra (Toronto). He will be fondly remembered by many friends and family and missed by his many friends at Meadowbrook. Born May 13th 1934, in the Township of Shakespeare, Albert was a lifelong resident of the Walden area, first living on Fielding Road and then moving to Mikkola subdivision where he and Edna raised their family. A very special place for Albert was his camp on Lake Penage. At Penage Albert and Edna entertained family and friends and especially cherished time with their grandchildren. While at Penage Albert enjoyed snowmobiling, time on his pontoon boat and when possible taking family and friends on a plane ride. Albert spent his entire career working in the construction industry. At a young age he left home to join Muskoka Construction working in the Elliott Lake and Sudbury area. It was at that time he met Carman Fielding Sr., a friendship and business relationship that would endure for over 50 years and over generations. Overtime Albert and Carman Jr. took ownership of Carman Construction and worked to see it grow. Albert retired but continued to keep up his friendships and stayed “in the know“. The past several years Albert lived in the Meadowbrook retirement residence and was able to reconnect with many of his old neighbours and friends. Albert and Edna were known as very good dancers, while at Meadowbrook Albert renewed his love of dance and was always able to fill his dance card. The family would like to thank Dr. Want and the team at the North Eastern Ontario Regional Sudbury Cancer Centre and the Staff on the 4th floor and Palliative Care Unit who provided considerate and compassionate care during the last few weeks of Albert's life. A special thanks to Dr. Ward Davies of London, Ontario. If desired donations may be made to the Cancer centre and the Palliative Care Unit. His children would like to extend a special thanks to Albert's siblings and his brother in law, for the love and support they showed our father during his lengthy illness.
