In loving memory of Anna-Liisa Irene Lahnalampi (nee Siirila), 93 years. She passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North on May 25, 2023, surrounded by many loved ones. Anna-Liisa was born on August 23,1929 in Toholampi, Finland to Jalmari and Aili Siirila (predeceased). She was the oldest of eight children, beloved sister to Reetta, Helena, Mariitta, Mikko, Heikki, Aira (predeceased) and Kaarlo (predeceased). Anna-Liisa married Jaakko Lahnalampi in 1953 and moved to Canada shortly afterwards. Loving mother to Tapio (Faith), Julia (Mike), Tom (Lynn) and Jack (Jana), predeceased by daughter-in-law Deborah. Cherished mummu to Travis (Sara), Derek (Christina), Clinton (Leah), Corbie, Karli (John), Jaana (Samer), Tamsen (Joshua), Dan, Owynn (Kelsey) and Tayte (Sean). Beloved isomummu to Mike, Nick, Cally, Riley, Dylan, Jackson, Benjamin, Aubree, Gabrielle, Alexandra, Joshawa, Isaac, Anna Liisa, Olavi, Mikko, Seif, Juhani, Ruby and Aili. We have been blessed to have had the kind and gentle soul of Anna-Liisa in our lives. Baker and cook extraordinaire, immaculate homemaker, avid gardener, weaver of Finnish mats. She embraced her love of nature through her many walks in Onaping and time spent at camp on Onaping Lake. Friends and family are invited to gather at Lougheed Funeral Home (252 Regent Street at Hazel Street). Visitation is on Monday, May 29, 2023, at 10:00am, followed by a funeral at 11:00am. Everyone is welcome for coffee and pulla after the service. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Maplecrest Cemetery.
