It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Nick Lalic, 82 years, on Wednesday March 30th. Loving son of Millie and Nikola (predeceased). Beloved soul mate Dorothy Gryc of over 50 years. Devoted Father of Nikki (Dave), Christy, Wayne (Erin), Ann (Blake), Lana (Will), and April (Craig). Sadly, missed by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Special “Mon Oncle” to Paul and Tracy Roy.

Born and raised in Sudbury. He taught drafting at Sheridan Tech and later moved on to teach at Lo-Ellen High school. He and Dorothy ran Morris Confectionery for decades. A man of faith, he had been a long-time member of St Paul’s United Church (church and choir) and more recently All Peoples’ United Church. He was known as an accomplished Mr. Fix-It. His passion was flying his airplane out to camp to hunt & fish. He also enjoyed playing baseball and hockey. He loved playing his guitar and was a member of the No-Name Band performing at retirement and nursing homes and other special functions. He cherished dressing up as Santa to bring joy to many friends and families. Nick was an all-around jokester, loved all kinds of music, making everyone laugh-even if it was at his own expense, and was a social butterfly. He could have filled an entire stadium with people that he loved. Nick was devoted to his family and happiest when in their company.  He passed away surrounded with love and laughter. The family would like to thank the compassionate care that was received from the staff at St Joseph’s CCC. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to a charity of your choice. There will be no service as per his wishes.

Dad, fly with the angels into the arms of your heavenly Father. We love and will forever miss you until we meet again.
