Rick Landry (a.k.a. Hun, Dad, Daddio, Papa, Tricky Ricky, Ricky Reno and the Rocket) received his wings on November 19, 2020 at 9:31pm at the age of 70.

Ricky is loved by his wife of 38 years Karen (née Mathé), sons Ryan (Sherry) and Neil (Caroline), daughter Ashley (Myles), grandchildren Michelle (predeceased), Jessie, Cory (predeceased), Aaden, Marshall, Grayson and Randall and great-granddaughter Hannah.  Son of Mathias and Jeanette Landry (predeceased), brother of Raymond (predeceased), Lucille, Ronnie, Linda, Reggie, Bobby and Donald and brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many many others.

Ricky leaves behind an extensive collection of guitars and tools that he acquired over the years. He was an accomplished and passionate musician and extremely seasoned and talented carpenter. A true jack of all trades and master of many. He made a living as a hard rock miner at Inco for 30 years.

What will be missed the most is Ricky’s unique and witty sense of humour, his mentorship, his humbleness, his dependability, his unconditional love and his seemingly endless stories about jobs he used to have.  Ricky was extremely strong in his mind, will and body. He was the living embodiment of his moto: You can do anything you put your mind to.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sudbury SPCA are welcomed. Fun fact: In his younger years, Ricky had a job at the SPCA where he raised a...bear cub.
