LAURIN, Alfreda (nee Proulx) - In loving memory of Alfreda Laurin (nee Proulx), 96 years, who passed away Monday, August 31st, 2009 at Sudbury Regional Hospital-St. Joseph Health Centre. Beloved wife of Wilfred G. Laurin predeceased 1988. Loving mother of Fernande Boisvert (husband Rene predeceased) of Repentigny P.Q., Gerald (wife Jeanne) of Sudbury, Rachelle (husband Andy Shepski) of Garson, Yvon (wife Lorraine Dionne) of Sudbury Suzanne (husband Andy Weren predeceased) of Sudbury, the late Romance Wagner predeceased 2007 (husband Curtis of Sudbury)and the late Yvon, Rollande and Gilles (all predeceased). Sadly missed by 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Daughter of Telesphore and Bella (nee Champagne) Proulx both predeceased. Dear sister of Yvette Ladouceur of Levack and predeceased by Aline Sauve, Alma Brisebois, Aurore Blais, Theona Belanger, Jerome, Aldema, Marcel, Jean, Roger and Armand. Special aunt of several nieces and nephews. Alfreda was born in Cheneville, Quebec. A member of St-Jean-de-Brebeuf church, she had worked for Sunshine and Lebel Cleaners but devoted her life to her family. Her children were her priority and she was very proud of her grandchildren's accomplishments. Alfreda leaves a rich legacy of love, devotion and faith and will be sadly missed and never forgotten. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Sudbury. Funeral Mass in St-Jean-de-Brebeuf Church Notre Dame Ave. (at Kathleen St.) Friday, September 4th, 2009 at 10:30 am. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium, Sudbury. Donations in memory of Alfreda to the CNIB or to the Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.
