The Lavigne family announces with sorrow his death on June 28th, 2021 at the age of 73. Son of the late Roméo Lavigne and of the late Régina Larocque. Beloved husband of Nicole Lavigne (née Thériault).  Loving father of Paulo Jr. (Chantal), Marc (Amanda) and Julie (Robert) Gladu. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Thérèse, Isabelle, Jordan, William, Kaleb, Samantha and Jonathan.  Also survived by his brothers, Gilbert, Donald and by his sister, Colette Brisson.  Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Ronald, Roger, Guy, Rhéo, Rollande Pigeon, Raymonde Lalonde, Pauline Raymond, Ghislaine Quenneville, Suzanne Gauthier, Jeanette Allman. Paulo was a very skilled carpenter having worked in construction for many years. In the past several years, Paulo was well known and appreciated by his many friends and coworkers in maintenance at the New Sudbury Shopping Center. He was a generous, kind-hearted and caring person. He loved his wife and children unconditionally and was happiest when surrounded by them. Music and gathering with friends were the highlight of his enjoyment, even if he fell asleep during the concert.
Due to the pandemic conditions, funeral plans will be announced at a later date. Cremation services entrusted to Simple Wishes of the North Inc.
