On May 4, 2021, the world lost “the coolest cat around”, Daniel Peter Lavoie a.k.a.” Dan the Man”; born in Birkenhead, England on May 5, 1948.

He will forever be remembered by his three children, Sheryl Lavoie (Wade), Melanie Cecchetto (Paolo), and Jesse Pelletier Lavoie (Jessica). Ex-spouse to the late Shirley Giroux (nee Lavoie) and Joceline Pelletier.

Beloved son to the late Margaret (neeRice) and the late Ralph Lavoie. Loving brother to Michael Lavoie (Marlene), Angie Scovron (Stan), Raymond Lavoie (Paulette), Julie Lavoie (Norm) and Ralph Lavoie (Christine). Hewill be fondly remembered to many nieces and nephews as the comical and colourfully dressed “Uncle Danny”, that would always pass you a $20.

In his early life he was not always given nor did take the road most taken, but he pushed forward and taught himself the “hustle and flow”of his life. He later became the very proud owner of his own furniture store, which he proudly worked for several years.

In his older days he tried to live a quieter life by picking blueberries with his furry best friends and whomever would join him, visiting his grandchildren and going to the racetrack. He also made sure to never leave a conversation without telling a joke and trying to make you laugh.

Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, a “celebration of life”, will be postponed until a later date. In the meantime, in the spirit of Danny, we invite you to spend time with your family and friends enjoying the great outdoors, possibly while playing a card game or two.
