Lori Lecappelain, 63 years old, died peacefully on May 17th, 2024, exactly 1 month away from her 64th birthday, at St Joseph’s Villa, surrounded by so much love and some of her favourite people.

She is survived by her brother Gary McCool and his wife, Joan McCool. Lori is predeceased by her parents George and Teena Lecappelain (nee Hastings), and her older sister Sharron.

Lori attended fashion design school as a young girl and always spoke so highly of her time and learning while there. Lori loved the arts & music, and she also loved her mother and father very much. Lori’s childhood had many medical challenges, however despite this, Lori embodied resilience and strength to not let this stop her from achieving the goals she had for herself.

Once Lori’s mother died, she was moved into St Joseph’s Villa where she spent the last 18 years of her life. If you were ever at St Joseph’s Villa, in the Sunnyside neighbourhood, you know Lori! She was fierce, direct, determined and strong-willed. She was also a very sweet and loving soul who took the time to get to know everyone who crossed her path, on an individual basis. She always took the opportunity to express her gratitude and appreciation to everyone who took the time for her.

There will be no visitation or service. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with burial alongside her parents in the Civic Cemetery. Donations to the MS Society or Toronto Sick Kids would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home.
