It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anita Leclair. She passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on January 16, 2022. Anita was born in Copper Cliff in 1933 to Alfred and Helen (Fex) Langlade. She was the loving wife and soulmate of Dennis Leclair (predeceased February 2020). She was the loving mother of Kelly Leclair-Brault (Jacques) and Richard (predeceased). She was a devoted "Gammy" to Kathryn (Jason), Kara (Shaun) and her precious great granddaughter Aubrey. Anita is survived by her brother Albert Langlade, her sisters Irene Beres and Marguerite Smith (Norman) as well as her sister in-law Patricia Laplante (Larry). She was predeceased by her sister Jeanette Parrett. She will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Anita was always happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. She loved to bake and share her delicious "goodies" with others. She was a kind, generous and loving person with a beautiful soul and she will be dearly missed. Our family would like to thank the amazing staff at the Northeast Cancer Centre, especially Dr. Gopalakrishnan, Dr. Ravi Singh, Erin and Veronica. We would also like to thank Catherine and Erika from Bayshore and Linda and Jennie from Home and Community Care. The care, kindness and dignity that you showed to our loving mother and Gammy will never be forgotten. "Be not afraid, I go before you always, come follow me and I will give you rest" In keeping with Anita's wishes there will be no funeral service. Internment of her ashes will be held at a later date. Donations to NECC or NEO Kids would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Homes.
