God called Maria home on Friday July 23,2021 at the age of 92. She will be reunited with the love of her life, her husband Giovanni (2003). She was a dear sister to Itala (Bruno) (predeceased 2020), Alberta (died 2 days after Maria) (Giuseppi), Luciano (Mirella), Ada (Adriano). She will be missed and thought of often by her sons, Roy (Asta) and John (Stephanie). She was a proud and beloved Nonna to Mark (Silvana), Natasha (Romy), Sophie (pre-deceased 2001) Amanda (Stan), Andrew (Amanda), Brandon, Katherine and Elaina. She will be fondly remembered by her great grand children Stefanie, Alessia, Liam, and Alexander. Her memory will be cherished by her nieces Janet (Vince) and Carla (Lenny) and extended family in Canada, the United States and Italy. The family truly appreciates the loving and professional care of the staff at Extended Care Falconbridge (second floor) and her dear friend and Bayshore PSW, Catherine. These special people helped us to care for Maria and give her dignity and love these last few years.

Maria was a devoted wife, mother, mother in law, Zia and Nonna. She was a hard worker (working many years as a server and at Fabricland), but she loved to laugh and host family and friends. She cherished her Italian heritage and enjoyed sharing the culture of Friuli.  

To our Dear Mom, Nonna, Zia, Maria….. thank you for loving us, caring for us and may you rest easy in His arms.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

A Funeral liturgy will be held for Maria on August 3, 2021 at 1 pm at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home-233 Larch St Sudbury, ON P3B 1M2. (Friends may gather after 12:30pm Tuesday)
