MARIER, Yvonne (née Metthé) - The family announces with sorrow her death in Sudbury on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at the age of 97 years. Daughter of the late Willis and of the late Éléosile (née Séguin) Metthé. Wife of the late Aimé Marier. Loving mother of Lorraine MacGlashen (Bill), Connie Rivet (late Larry) and Donald Marier all of Sudbury. Predeceased by her daughter Georgette “Georgie“ McKenzie (“Hap“ of Gatineau, Qc). Also predeceased by her sisters and brothers, Alvor (late Lina), Oswald (late Léonide), Exérine Rodrigue (late Omer), Liliane Vachon (late Denis), Évelyne Watier (late Dassise) and Gracia Metthé (late Ovila). Sadly missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. In keeping with Yvonne's request, there will be no viewing. A funeral service will be held at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Friday, September 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. A reception will follow in the Sudbury Funeral Home Coffee Lounge. Donations (by cheque only) to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
