It is with heavy hearts that the family of Catherine (Kitty,Katie,Kay) McGinn announce the sudden passing of their cherished Mother, Sister, Grandma, Great Grandmother, Little Nanny, and friend.Kay devoted her life to family and friends, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness. She was loved by many and will be missed by everyone who knew her. She will be remembered fondly as a fun, compassionate woman and as someone who you could always count on to let you know exactly where you stand. She is predeceased by her loving husbandEd (John Edward Gordon) McGinn, parents Ann Dever and Henry Edward Condron, and her brother Andrew Condron.Catherine will be missed by her four children Susan Condron, James McGinn, Gordon (Jennifer)McGinn, and David McGinn. Her sisters Elizabeth (Arnold) Mertin, and Patsy Ransom (Moe)Brouillette, as well as all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Many people who knew Katie knew her as mom, auntie, or grandma. She had a big heart and there was always room for one more.Katie will be missing her treasured friendship with Barb and James. Cremation has taken place as per Katie’s wishes. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at ParkLawn Cemetery in Sudbury, Ontario on August 21st, 2021. In lieu of flowers the family encourages everyone to make the most out of the time they have with family and friends, to enjoy moments spent together and to cherish the memories made forever. “When tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand, that an angel came and called my name
