Marg passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Monday, June 14, 2021. Predeceased by her husband John “Sam”, her infant son Sam and her parents Don and Doris MacLennan. Truly loved and extremely missed by her sister Donna (Chris Stokes), brothers Cam and James (Cindy Valkama), her niece Kera (Dave), nephew Ryan (Rikki) and her fur babies, Geordie, Ollie and Meg.
A very strong woman with a heart of gold. Always there with a helping hand to all that needed it. While working at the Greater Sudbury Public Library for many years, Marg developed amazing research skills and to this date she used her talent to locate many relatives, always looking for that “elusive relative” through genealogy.
Along with her love of creativity, decorating and renovation, Marg was well known for her writing. An accomplished writer always offering a lengthy and thorough answer when replying to emails etc. along with many articles published in magazines and newspapers.
Marg recently found a new joy of the outdoors. She had adorned her home with lots of flowers and trinkets in her backyard to enjoy her first cup of coffee of the day with her pups.
A family service will be held at a future date. Because of her desire to make some small contribution to our community, the family would appreciate donations to be made to a charity of your choice.
