It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, papa, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend Kevin John McLaughlin at the young age of 58. He leaves behind his best friend and beautiful wife Sheila (McGowan) McLaughlin, his three daughters Paige (Jake), Lesley (Kevan) and Courtney McLaughlin, his granddaughter Keira Sohm, his sister Merilyn Peterkins, and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his loving mother Bessie (Anderson) McLaughlin and devoted father Joseph McLaughlin. Kevin passed away after a short but brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Just as he handled all experiences in life, Kevin managed his illness with strength and resilience, and wanting to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible. On his final day, he was with his loving wife, Sheila, who he adored more than anything else in the world. Those who knew Kevin knew how selfless, thoughtful, and kind he could be. If he wasn’t working around the house trying to make the best life for him, his wife, and his children, he could be found watching NASCAR, a pastime he shared with his mother, working on his Firebird Trans Am, or listening to music how he liked it, loud. As we grieve his loss, we will cherish all our fond memories we shared with him and the powerful impact his life had on all of us. He was taken from us far too soon, but he will never be forgotten. There will be no visitation at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted with Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd.
