In loving memory of Alexander James McNamara, 90 years old, who passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in the early hours of Sunday, October 10, 2021. Beloved husband of Germaine Winch McNamara of Skead. Predeceased by his first wife, Leona McNamara (nee Callaghan), his son Kerry, his parents Francis “Frank” & Catherine McNamara, his brothers Donald (Gayle), Milton (Cecile), Welland (Marge) and his sister June (Doc). Dear brother to Colleen (Russ predeceased) and Gordon (Bruce). Loving father of Neil (Louise), Brian (Christine), Erin (Joanne), Shawn (Diane), Dale (Donna) and step-father to Darcy (Heide), Suzanne, Paul (Maria) and Rene (Breighan). Alex cherished his family and especially cherished his time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the lights of his life. Loving grandfather to Ryan, Stacey, Kailey, Tina, Jenny, Darcy, Kurtis, Ian, Katie, Chris, Drew, Ethan, Reese, Michael, Nicole, Paula, Angelina, Isabel, and Chad and great-grandfather to many great-grandchildren. Alex was a great friend to many and could always be counted on for an interesting story and to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it, no matter the time of day or night. He was very proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and they were often the subject of his many stories. He spent many years fishing, hunting and camping with his family and was always involved in their sports either as part of their coaching staff or an avid and dedicated fan. He also spent countless hours caring for his horses and giving sleigh rides to many children in the Sudbury area. Arrangements have been entrusted with Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd. He will be sadly missed by many. Forever in our hearts

Miss Me, But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has
set for me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room-why
cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not for long
-and not with your heads bowed low. Remember the
love we once shared - miss me, but let me go. For
this is a journey that we all must take, and each must go
alone; it is part of the Master’s plan - A step on the
road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart-
Go to the friends we know, and bury your sorrows in
doing good deeds - Miss me, but let me go.
