The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury, on Friday, January 6, 2023 at the age of 91. Wife of the late Richard Meehan. Born in 1931 in Biscotasing, ON, to the late John Lavoie and the late Bernadette (nee Michaud) Lavoie. Beloved mother of Carol Ann Dequanne (Jacques), Dale Meehan (Gabrielle), Darlene Meehan, Shanna McNichol (Robert), Tracy Trueman (Roger), Tammy Meehan and Pamela Meehan (Steph Grenon). Cherished grandmother of Denis (Naomi), Julie (Chad), Shane (Margaret), Megan (Chris), Melanie (Shane), Robyn (David), Tasha (Dave), Devyn (Cassandra), Justin, Malika, Calin, late Branden and late Angelika. Great grandmother of Kaeley, Ashlyn, Mackenzy, Payton, Chase, Ryder, Lillie, Madison, Nathan, Farron, Iliza, Lainey, Isaac, Salem, Damon, Aluna, Maisy, Vance and Paige. Dear sister of Jeannine Dequanne (late Aurel). Predeceased by her siblings Adelard Lavoie (late Solange), Rene Lavoie (late Hazel), Norman Lavoie and Bernadette (late Rene). Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mom was happiest when she was surrounded by family and welcomed several neighbourhood kids into our home. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
