It is with heavy hearts filled with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandma, and true friend, Marjorie Rose Menard (nee Henderson). Born on December 18th, 1938 to Basil and Irene Henderson (both predeceased), she left our world on Monday, March 31st, 2025 at the age of 86, to reunite with her parents and brothers.

Marjorie married her best friend and sweetheart, Roger Menard, on August 18th, 1956 and together they raised their three children: Debbie (Robson Miron), Michael (Cathy), and Patsy (Jamie Wiwczor). Marjorie will be remembered for her great sense of humour and contagious laughter. She had the ability to heal the hearts of those in her life, with her sincere care and love. She cherished the company of her family and friends and surrounded herself with them often, as they were her greatest pride and most important in her life.

Marjorie also enjoyed cooking, and those who have had the opportunity to share a meal with her will no doubt miss her famous homemade butter tarts and baked beans. In the summer, she enjoyed a good round of golf, she even got four holes-in-one on her golf record.

Marjorie is survived by her loving husband and three children who will never forget her. She was the best Gramma and will be missed by her seven grandsons: Darcey (Pam), Jason (David), Robby, Daniel (predeceased), Nicholas, Dillin (Kyley), and Matthew. Proud and loving great-grandmother to Brittany, Nevaeh, Collin, and Dianna.

Dear sister to Bobby (survived by Gloria), Larry, and Wayne (all predeceased) and her surviving brother Victor (Sharon).

Marjorie touched the lives of many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were also a significant part of her life and who will miss her tremendously. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, but the memories made will forever be cherished.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 24th, 2025 at 11am at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Coniston, with a luncheon to follow in the parish hall to celebrate Marjorie’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to make a donation in memory of Marjorie Rose please consider Epilepsy Ontario, Cystic Fibrosis Canada, or the Alzheimer Society.
