In loving memory of Joylene (Lynne) Mercer who passed away on Friday, August 28 at the age of 72 with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife and best friend of David Randolph Mercer. Proud and loving mother of Donna Hellstrom (husband Peter) and Stacy Zemoroz (husband Brent). Cherished grandmother of Jenna Hellstrom, Karly Hellstrom (Max), Brandon Zemoroz (Kaylee) & Carter Zemoroz (Alyssa). Dear daughter of Victor and Delina Suomi (predeceased). Dear daughter-in-law to Annie and Isaac Mercer (predeceased). Dear sister of Gerald Suomi (wife Cheryl) and Ronald Suomi (predeceased) (wife Karen). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and their families. Very special friend of Ray and Liz Prevost.

Lynne worked for 30 years at Sears retiring 5 years ago. She had many friends at Sears and was loved by everyone she had the pleasure of working with. Lynne enjoyed watching her 4 grandchildren participate in sports and was an amazing role model and grandmother. Lynne always had a big smile and will be remembered by everyone as an “amazing lady”. She had a positive smile and very kind demeanour. Lynne will be missed by many.

The family expresses their deepest appreciation to the doctors and nurses in CMU & ICU for their care and compassion during Lynne’s final days in hospital.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 2nd, 2020 in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury at 2pm. Friends may gather after 1pm. Donations to Pet Save would be appreciated. Due to COVID-19 directives, there is a maximum of 80 allowed in the chapel. Masks are mandatory.
