Beloved father of Amelia Maritsa Monette Mogensen (Michael Crozier). Loving partner of Paula McNamara. Loving son of Nels Wayne (predeceased) and Muriel Mogensen. Dear brother of Ingride Mogensen (Stephan Mantha). Best friend of Bryan Tuuri. Sadly missed by many friends, as well as extended family in France and Canada. Alex passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones after a short illness. Born in France and raised in Canada, Alex worked for the family business (The Mogensen Moccasin Company) before starting his career in Information Technology at Laurentian University. He had a love for the outdoors, was the host of his own radio show “Off The Cuff” on CKLU 96.7 and acted as a self-appointed food critic. He was loved by all and very well known for his positive outlook on life, his smile, sense of humour and joie de vivre. A man who truly loved travelling to new places and spending nights laughing around a campfire with friends and family. A celebration of life in memory of Alex will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alex’s memory can be made directly to CKLU or a non-profit organization of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd.
