Moras, M. Maria (Muzzin)

In loving memory of Maria Maddalena Moras (nee Muzzin) 89 years. Passed away peacefully Monday, March 23rd, 2020 at Health Sciences North. Beloved wife of 36 years to Domenico Moras (predeceased in 1996). Loving mother of Annalisa (Colin MacEachern) and Maurizio “Moe” Moras (predeceased in 2018). Cherished Nonni of Ossian Catarina and Lorne. Predeceased by her siblings Adele (Amedeo Santolin), Marino, Santina (Tulio Coral), Angelina (Silvio Liviano Piccinin), Evaristo (Virginia) and Angelo (Giovanna). Maria came to Sudbury from Cimpello, Italy in 1960. She kept an amazing garden with many beautiful flowers and vegetables. She was a wonderful cook and doted on her grandchildren. Maria was a homemaker and worked at the Loeb warehouse, cleaning the offices. She was a devoted member of St. Anthony's Church congregation. Maria enjoyed playing bocce and bowling. Thank you to the staff at the Walford for taking care of her for the last three years, especially Josie. Thank you to her friends at the Walford, especially Marg and Roger. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. Due to COVID19 and gathering restrictions, the family will have a private graveside service. Maria will be buried alongside her husband and son in the Civic Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
